Consider Bids for Paving Lions Park
Trails
The Elk River Lions Club has donated $25,000 for lighting and paved trail
improvements to Lions Park for 1997. I have received the following three
quotes from local contractors for trail paving:
· Elk River Bituminous
· Blacktop Services
· Rum River Construction
$20,875.00
$22,012.50
$23,25O.OO
Request
I would request Council approval to accept the quoted price of $20,875.00
from Elk River Bituminous and also to use the remaining $4,125.00 to
purchase lighting fixtures for the park basketball court. It is anticipated that
the work can be completed yet this fall.
