ACTION REQUESTED
Council motion approving a pyrotechnic fireworks display license for RES Specialty Pyrotechnics, Inc. to
conduct a pyrotechnic display from the Elk River High School football field on July 4, 2011 with the
following condition:
Fire Department units shall be present.
Applicant must contact the Fire Marshal at 763.238.3489 for apre-loading and apost-loading
inspection.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
RES Specialty Pyrotechnics, Inc. has applied on behalf of the Elk River Independence Day 2011
Committee for a pyrotechnic display license to conduct fireworks at the Independence Day Celebration
planned for July 4, 2011.
The Fireworks Operator Certification has been verified with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety.
The fire department has reviewed and approved the site plan with the condition above.
