TH 10/SIMONET DRIVE LEFT TURN LANE
Dear Mr. Klaers:
Attached is Change Order #1 for the TH 10/Simonet Drive Left Turn Lane Project. This Change
Order adds a culvert under the new Simonet Drive access to TH 10 and beefs up the shoulder
section along the north side of the highway. This Change Order was necessitated by the
phasing of construction, there will be traffic detoured on to the shoulder area during the paving
of the concrete median and left turn lane. This Change Order has already been approved by
Mn/DOT District #3. As you are aware this project is 100% funded by Mn/DOT therefore there
is no cost to the City of Elk River for this Change Order.
The amount of the Change Order is $8,199.26. Since the City of Elk River is the lead agency
for the construction of this improvement it is necessary for the City Council to approve this
Change Order.
