SUBJECT: Request to Apply for Joint Landscaping
Program
Attached is a resolution authorizing the city to apply for funding for the
project identified as the Elk River Highway Beautification. I am requesting
the Council adopt this resolution and appoint me as the primary contact
person for this application.
Action Requested
The City Council is asked to adopt the attached resolution authorizing
application and primary contact person for Community Roadside
Landscaping Partnership Program.

A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION AND PRIMARY
CONTACT PERSON FOR COMMUNITY ROADSIDE LANDSCAPING
PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM
BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Elk River act as sponsoring unit for the
project identified as Elk River Highway Beautification on the state trunk
highway 169 north of School Street to be conducted during the period April
1998 through May 1998.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Phil Hals is hereby authorized to apply
to the Minnesota Department of Transportation for funding of this project on
behalf of the City of Elk River.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River this 6th day
of October, 1997.
