Utilities Commission Update
Councilmember John Dietz is our city representative on the Elk River
Municipal Utilities Commission. The Utilities Commission typically meets
on the second Tuesday of each month and Councilmember Dietz provides an
update to the City Council on the third Monday of each month. This is our
Cable TV meeting night and an opportunity to help distribute information
about the utilities operation.
The Utilities Commission has rescheduled its October monthly meeting to
Tuesday, October 21, 1997. Accordingly, this update from Councilmember
Dietz will be more in the line of what the Commission is planning to discuss
and review rather than action that the Commission has taken. Attached for
your review is the agenda for the October 21, 1997, Utilities Commission
meeting.
The next regular Commission meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November
11, 1997, at 3:30 p.m., at the Utilities office. However, it should be noted
that November 11, 1997, is Veteran's Day. No public meeting can be held on
this holiday, therefore this November meeting date will be changed.
