SUBJECT: Developers Forum
The City staff will be holding a Developer's Forum on Wednesday March 29, 2006 from
9:OOa.m.to 10:30 a.m. The overall purpose of this Forum will be to give the City's
"users" of the Community Development Department an opportunity to discuss and
critique 1) how the Department's service levels have been performing and 2)
modifications that can make the Department more efficient and user friendly.
Some of the agenda points will include:
- Introduction of the "new" management staff
- Review of internal changes that have been made over the past six months
- Discussion of on-going discussions regarding changes. E.g. e-permits and
credit card payments
- A quick (5 minute) review of NPDES permitting issues and process
- A dedicated segment to allow participants to suggest and provide constructive
criticism on on-going operations
In addition to these types of agenda items, it was suggested that we also use the time to
have participants comment on the future use of the Gateway Business Center. This
should be a good way to end the forum on a positive note and discussing an exciting
future City project.
