SUBJECT: Items on the September 13, 2011 Planning Commission
Agenda
The following is a summary of the agenda items for the September 13, 2011 Planning
Commission meeting and their potential to conflict with any known ox potential cultural,
historical or azchaeological resources:
1. Request by Elk River Landfill for Conditional Use Permit to expand the existing
facility - (CU 11-12) - No known SHPO site on the affected property and the city's
azchaeological model shows low to moderate potential for an azchaeological site.
Staff recommends the standard condition listed below is placed on this
request.
2. Request by Cornerstone Auto fox anexpansion - (CU 11-15) -. No known SHPO
site on the affected property and the city's archaeological model shows low to
moderate potential for an archaeological site. Staff recommends the standard
condition listed below is placed on this request
Standard Condition:
"Any item or condition found that indicates the site is likely to yield information
important to prehistory or history shall be reported to the city immediately. Further,
the city reserves the right to stop work authorized in its approval until the site is
appropriately investigated and work is authorized to continue by the city."
