Action Requested
A. Approval of a temporary 3.2. percent malt liquor license to the Elk River Lions for September 10,
2011, subject to the following conditions:
1. Receipt of a certificate of insurance naming the City of Elk River and Sherburne County as
additional insured.
2. Alcohol must be limited to an area that is fenced in with secured and controlled access. Age
verification is required and wrist band control is recommended.
B. Approval of a temporary on-sale liquor license for a community event to McCoy Restaurants, Inc.
d/b/a McCoy's Pub for September 10, 2011, subject to the following condition:

verification is required and wrist band control is recommended.
Background/Discussion
The Elk River Lions and McCoy's Pub have applied for temporary liquor licenses for the Elk River Fire
Department Dance which will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2011. The dance is scheduled to take
place at the Sherburne County Fairgrounds with an alternate location at the Elk River Fire Station #2 in
case of inclement weather. Alcohol will be served from approximately 6:00 p.m. until midnight.
