ACTION REQUESTED
Approval of the request by Pierce Global, on behalf of Wal-Mart, to hold a special event on September
16, 17, and 18, 2011 as outlined on the attached overview, subject to the following conditions:
1. Receipt of a signed affidavit of insurance waiver or a certificate of insurance for this event.
2. Receipt of a completed State of Minnesota Worker's Compensation Certificate of
Compliance form (as required of all license applicants).
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
Pierce Global, in conjunction with Wal-Mart, as applied for a special event permit to hold a Bone
Collector Hunting Event in a portion of the Wal-Mart parking lot on September 16, 17, and 18. An area
equivalent to footprint of the garden center will be roped off for this event. See attached overview for
additional information.
This request has been reviewed by the police chief, fire marshal, planning manager, and city engineer with
no issues.

Pierce Global, in conjunction with Wal-Mart, are pleased to announce the Bone Collector Hunting Event!
Taking place in your local Wal-Mart parking lot, the Bone Collector Hunting Event is open to the public, free of
charge, and the perfect opportunity for everyone in your community to participate in learning about hunting
safety, education, and awareness.
Complete with low velocity air rifle ranges, anticipated sponsors include but not limited to: Ram, Honda,
Daisy, Kee Action Sports, etc. NRA and 4H will being on-site helping manage the event.
