SUBJECT: Recreation Facility Usage
At the July 18`h City Council meeting discussion was held regarding the Parks and Recreation
Facility Use policy. At the conclusion of the discussion the City Council directed staff to
revise the policybased on the following criteria:
• Meet needs of residents
• Blend Associations and Recreational programs
• Protect both organizations needs
• Transparent Process
• Get same result by cooperating until new fields are built. Does not have to be an
"all or none" venture.
Staff plans to form a committee to revise the current policy which will be recommended to
the City Council. The committee will be comprised of a combination of staff, youth athletic
association members, and members of the Parks and Recreation Commission.
