ACTION REQUESTED
Staff requests authorization to proceed with drainage improvement at 194`" Lane and County Road 1
accepting the bid from Rum River Contracting for $ 11,650.00.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
Staff has identified this road area in need of storm drainage. Currently the water does not have an outlet
to drain and pools until it evaporates. Without the addition of storm drainage, the water will continue to
deteriorate the road surface.
Staff has received three quotes and they are as follows:
Rum River Contracting $ 11,650.00
Redstone Construction $ 13,877.50
New Look Contracting, Inc. $ 12,350.00
Rum River Contracting has provided the lowest bid for the improvements for a total of $11,650.00.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The improvements will be funded through the Street Improvement Reserve fund. The costs will fit
within the approved budget for 2011 Intersection Enhancements projects.
