SUBJECT: Bailey Point Grant Acceptance
ACTION REQUESTED
Staff recommends that the Parks and Recreation Commission recommend the Ciry Council
accept the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Natural and Scenic Area grant for the
acquisition funding of the Bailey Point property.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
The city has received notification of a DNR Natural and Scenic Area grant selection for the
acquisition funding of the Bailey Point properly. Approval for the acceptance of the grant is
required from the City Council. The grant award is in the amount of $39,000.
Upon approval of accepting the grant, staff will work with the Bailey Point neighborhood to
determine details of the park development. A priority of the development will be to assure
that requirements of the grant are being adhered to.
