SUBJECT: Consider Cabinet Quotes for Emergency Operations Center
(EOC)
As you know, there is a need to replace the damaged cabinets in the new EOC. Don
Stutesman, Kraus Anderson, has received three quotes for building and installing the
cabinets. The low quote of the three received was from O'Keefe Cabinets at a cost of
$43,058.00. Additionally, George Cook will charge approximately $3,066.00 to remove the
existing cabinets so the total replacement cost will be approximately $46,124.00. Although
the City is awarding the contract to replace the cabinets, the cost will ultimately be covered
by insurance. At this time it is not clear which policy or policies will cover the costs, but it is
clear that this is not a City cost.
Action Requested
The Council is asked to award cabinet replacement in the EOC to O'Keefe Cabinets at a
cost of $43,058.00.
