ACTION REQUESTED
The City Council is asked to approve the deferment of special assessments for Herbert Ruprecht and
Doris Anderson.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
Chapter 62, Section 1 of the Elk River City Code addresses the deferral of special assessments. Citizens
may defer special assessments if they are 65 years of age or older, retired by virtue of permanent and total
disability or a member of the National Guard or military reserve in active service.
Herbert Ruprecht has applied for a senior citizen deferral of the 2011 Street Rehabilitation assessment for
his property at 226 - 2"d Street Northwest (parcel number 75-430-0125). Mx. Ruprecht meets all of the
requirements fox the deferral.
Doris Anderson has also applied for a senior citizen deferral of the 2011 Street Rehabilitation assessment
for her property at 401 - 2°d Street Northwest (parcel number 75-405-1610). Ms. Anderson meets all of
the requirements for the deferral.
