SUBJECT: Joint Landscape Project Between City
and MnDOT
On October 6, 1997, the Council authorized Street/Parks
Superintendent Phil Hals to make application to MnDOT for funding
of a joint beautification project. The project will include
landscaping by the Freeport water tower, along Highway 169
between 191st Avenue and School Street.
MnDOT has received the application and is now requesting that the
City enter into an agreement whereby the State will pay the city for
the landscape materials. The City will be expected to provide
coordination, base preparation and water. The project will be
completed by volunteers.
ACTION REQUESTED:
Council motion to adopt the attached resolution entering into
MnDOT Agreement No. 76983.
