SUBJECT: National Conference Attendance
Request
As in the past, this year's budget includes funds for department heads to
attend a national conference with Council approval. ! am requesting
authorization to attend the 1998 National Conference of the Government
Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada to be held in
San Francisco at the end of June. This conference provides important
updates on changes, trends, and innovations in government finance.
Action Requested
The Council is asked to authorize attendance at the GFOA national
conference as included in the 1998 Budget.
