ACTION REQUESTED
Adopt attached resolution acknowledging the $2,800 contribution from the Zimmerman Fire Relief
Association pursuant to Minnesota Statute 465.03. Statute requires resolutions to be adopted by a 2/3
majority vote.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
The Parks and Recreation Department received a $1,800 donation from the Zimmerman Fire Relief
Association with the intent that it be used towards park improvements.
The Fire Department also received a $1,000 donation from the Zimmerman Fire Relief Association with
the intent it be used to purchase an automated external defibrillator.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The Zimmerman Fire Relief Association donated a total of $2,800 to the City of Elk River.

RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING
CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE
CITY OF ELK RIVER
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received a $1,800 donation from the Zimmerman Fire
Relief Association with the intent it be used by the Parks and Recreation Department
towards the park improvement fund; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received a $1,000 donation from the Zimmerman Fire
Relief Association with the intent it be used by the Fire Department to purchase an
automated external defibrillator; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River,
by at least atwo-thirds vote, to acknowledge the support and commend the Zimmerman
Fire Relief Association for their contributions.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River this 5`'' day of December
2011.
