Adopt attached resolution acknowledging the $1,850 contribution from the Elk River Lions Club
pursuant to Minnesota Statute 465.03. Statute requires resolutions to be adopted by a 2/3 majority vote.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
The Fire Department received a $1,850 donation from the Elk River Lions Club with the intent it be used
to purchase an automated external defibrillator.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The Elk River Lions Club donated a total of $1,850 to the City of Elk River.

RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING
CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE
CITY OF ELK RIVER
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received a $1,850 donation from the Elk River Lions
Club with the intent it be used by the Elk River Fire Department to purchase an automated
external defibrillator; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River,
by at least atwo-thirds vote, to acknowledge the support and commend the Elk River Lions
Club for their donation.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River this 12`'' day of December
2011.
