Staff supports a Planning Commission recommendation to overlay the subject property to Mineral
Excavation (ME).
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
The applicant's request would overlay the subject property to Mineral Excavation to allow fox the
property to be consistent with the property owner's existing operation of mineral excavation. An
Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) was completed for this property and was approved by the
City Council on April 4, 2011. This property was also included in the 1994 Environmental Impact
Statement (EIS)
