Council motion to appoint Mayor John Dietz and Finance Director Tim Simon to the Fire Relief
Association Board with term expirations of January 7, 2013.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
Per Minnesota Statute 424A.04, fire relief associations must have three city trustees on their board. One
member must be the fue chief. The city needs to appoint the other two trustees on an annual basis.
Historically, the Mayor and the fmance director have been the two city trustees.
