Adopt the attached resolution authorizing the use of a safe deposit box at the First National Bank of Elk
River and giving staff authority for this use.
Background/Discussion
The city currently has a safe deposit box at First National Bank of Elk River which is being utilized fox
the safe keeping of records. As part of our records disaster plan, we keep a duplicate copy of permanent
records that are on microfiche in this safe deposit box. The bank requires the city adopt a resolution
authorizing the use of the safe deposit box and listing those who have authority fox this use.

RESOLUTION 12-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE USE OF
A SAFE DEPOSIT BOX
WHEREAS, the Ciry Council of the City of Elk River recognizes the need fox the use of a
safe deposit box; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elk River authorizes the rental of a safe deposit
box at the First National Bank of Elk River.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Elk
River gives authority to the following staff for this use:
City Administrator Calvin Portnex
Finance Director Tim Simon
City Clerk Tina Allard
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River this 9`s day of January, 2012.
