2012 Pick-U Truck Purchases
BACKGROUND:
Approved in the 2012 Budget were 3 Ford F250 pickups. Two of these pick-ups were for the
Electric Department and one is for the Technical Services Department.
DISCUSSION:
For 2012, Midway Ford was awarded the State Bid for Ford F250 pickups. The quote is attached
for Commission review. The cost is $25,718.61 per truck. These vehicles were budgeted at
$35,000 per truck. The budgeted amount includes the vehicle purchase, tax, title, 800MHz radio,
bins, ladder racks, and other equipment.
ACTION REQUESTED:
Staff recommends purchasing these 3 trucks at the State Bid price of $25,718.61 per truck from
Midway Ford.
