Present: Chair Myles McGrath, Commissioners Mert Auger and Tina Allard (11:25 a.m.)
Absent: None
Also present: Technology Consultant Bil] Bruce, Attorney Bob Vose and Big Lake Representative

Call to Order
Chair McGrath called the meeting to order at 11:15 a.m.
2. Discuss Franchise Agreement Issues Regarding Windstream
Attorney Vose provided an update regarding a letter that \x'indstream sent out to customers in
Big Lake and Maple Lake. The letter indicated they would no longer offer cable service on
their own but would be offering satellite package deals. The letter further stated that
customers currently on Windstream's land line system could remain on it.
There was discussion on the possible breaches to the Franchise agreements with these cities.
MOVED BY COMMISSIONER AUGER AND SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER
MCGRATH FOR THE COMMISSION ATTORNEY TO PERFORM MORE
RESEARCH ON THIS ISSUE AND TO DETERMINE WHAT THE DAMAGES
WOULD BE TO THE COMMISSION. MOTION CARRIED 3-0.
