Adopt the attached resolution amending the Recreation Administration Budget.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
On December 19, 2011, the City Council approved filling the part-time recreation assistant position. The
attached resolution amends the 2012 budget reallocating funds from Council Contingenry to the
Recreation Administration budget.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The 2012 Council Contingency budget includes $191,550 for positions. The recreation position was
approved for $23,985.23 and the budget amendment is rounded to $24,000, which leaves a remaining
balance of $167,550 for positions in the Council Contingency budget.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION AMENDING RECREATION ADMINISTRATION
BUDGET
WHEREAS, on December 19, 2011, the City Council approved filling the part-time
recreation assistant position; and
WHEREAS, the funds associated for this position are available in the Council
Contingenry budget; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed and approved the proposed 2012 budget
amendment; and
WHEREAS, the balance available in the Council Contingency for personnel is $191,550.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that a budget amendment in the amount of
$24,000 is approved for the recreation administration department, and further, that funding
is to come from the Council Contingenry budget.
