Dear Mr. Barnhart,
This e-mail is to confirm the fact that we, the members and owners of Elk River Station, LLP, are
aware of the apartment concept plan which Mr. John Duffy is in the process of submitting to the City
of Elk River. We believe that Mr. Duffy's apartment plan represents the highest and best land use for
the parcel. We are very hopeful that the Planning Staff, Planning Commission and City Council will
agree with us. As you know we have owned the parcel for several years and that we have worked
diligently to find a well financed developer who is willing to move forward with a good plan for the
subject parcel. We feel that we have found that person in Mr. John Duffy and that his plan is a good
plan and that it would be an excellent use of the land near the Commuter Rail Station.
