SUBJECT: Major Park Use -Spectrum High School
Request
Spectrum High School has requested the use of Lions Park and Lions Park Center to hold a
Walk for Autism event. The event is to be held on Saturday, Apri114~` from 11:00 a.m. -
4:00 p.m Approximately 200 people are expected to attend the event.
Information for your consideration
• Spectrum High School is based in Elk River and serves students in the Elk River
School District.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Autism Society of Miruiesota.
This event was successfully held last year.
Staff Recommendations
Event be approved with the following guidelines:
• All facility rental fees be waived.
• The group will cover the cost of a Parks and Recreation building supervisor for
Lions Park Center.
