The agenda and January minutes aze attached. STAFF UPDATES PROJECT CONSERVE PHASE III The Energy Auditors aze busy finishing up the scheduled audits and working on the reports. A newsletter was sent out to the partidpants with a survey and a household waste experiment that was used in Phase II. As a reminder, the next meetings axe scheduled for Saturday, Apri114, Tuesday, Apri117 and Thursday, Apri119, 2012. BUSINESS & ENERGY EXPO The Business and Energy Expo is scheduled for Sunday, March 25 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. to be held at the Elk River High School Staff and the Planning Committee met with the Chamber Planning Committee on Friday, February 3, 2012 to discuss the Expo. 650 registrations have been mailed out with about 3 dozen already sent back. Dunn Brothers and Old Main have committed to being food vendors. Committee members were asked to seek out more as there is room for 8. Marketing efforts axe underway with Staz News and BOB FM. Mazketing will also be done through Facebook, City's rolling billboard, website and cable. Committee members will also be sending infom~ation to area thatches. The MN Renewable Energy Soaety is interested in locating a Solaz Trailer at the event and the idea of powering the bounce houses is being explored. Due to fire code restrictions, it will not work for power other aspects of the expo. The trailer will cost $100 for the day so the committee is looking into sponsors. The Committee is also looking into sponsors for an Elk River High School student PRfFREI Ii ~'r-A~`URE who has created a biodiesel that will be used by Vision Transportation. If you aze interested in sponsoring either of these, please let someone on the Committee know. ENERGY CITY BUSINESS EDUCATION SERIES EVENT The first Energy City Business Education Series Event of the year will be held on February 23, 2012 from 11:30 a.m. -1:00 p.m. at the Elk River Public Library. The event will highlight Fatibault Foods as the 2011 Energy City Business of the Yeaz and the efforts the company has taken to receive this recognition and how it can be replicated in other businesses. Staff will also give an overview of the progrun and discuss the Energy-Efficienry loans available and the reminder of the Utilities rebates. SWOT ANALYSIS Please take a look at the SWOT Analysis information in the minutes that were completed at the January meeting and be thinking of ways to incorporate this information into tasks.
