A 2/3 majority vote is required. BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION The Zimmerman Fire Relief Association donated $2,800 to the City of Elk River. Of that $2,800, $1,800 was intended to go to the Elk River Fire Department to purchase an automated external defibrillator and $1,000 was intended to be used by the Parks and Recreation Department towards park improvements. On December 5, 2011, the City Council adopted Resolution 11-71 acknowledging the contributions from the Zimmerman Fire Relief Association; however, the allocation of the donation was listed incorrectly in that resolution. It is appropriate for the Council to amend the original resolution to include the proper allocation of the contribution.
