SUBJECT: Approval For A New Roof
The 1998 budget includes $40,000 for a new roof on the main building
located at the Waste Water Treatment Facility. During our facility upgrade
we did get a quote from Gridor's roofing contractor, N.W. Waterproofing,
thinking we would do it as a change order, but because of the change order
markup we decided to wait. However, the contractor is willing to honor the
price he quoted in February of 1997, minus Gridor's markup. After doing
some checking, I have found N. W. Waterproofing's quote of $20,105.00 to be
the lowest. Attached for your review is the quote received from N. W.
Waterproofing.
Action requested:
Council approval to allow N. W. Waterproofing to replace the roof on the
main building of the Waste Water Treatment Facility for the price of
$20,105.00 as quoted.

Per your request:
Remove existing asphalt plys and gravel; leaving existing insulation.
Replace wet areas of insulation with new insulation.
Install additional wood blocking to outside edges.
Install new EPS insulation over existing. -Roof insulation will have a total of
R-23.5.
Install new 45 mil ballasted roof system.
Install new prefinished edge metal, 4 scuppers and 4 down spouts.
5 year Contractors Warranty.
