A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING-THE COMMISSIONER OF
TRANSPORTATION TO STUDY CERTAIN ROADS IN THE CITY OF
ELK RIVER FOR THE PURPOSE OF ESTABLISHING SPEED ZONES
WHEREAS,
the Elk River City Council has determined that there are
streets in the City of Elk River upon which the designated
speed zone is of concern to the Council; and,
WHEREAS,
Minnesota Statute requires that the City Council request the
Commissioner of Transportation to investigate: appropriate
speed zones in the areas of question with the City of Elk
River; and,
WHEREAS,
the City's request to the Commissioner of Transportation for
the investigation and eventual establishment of speed zones
must be made by resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Elk River that the Commissioner of Transportation is hereby
requested by the Council to investigate the following streets
within the City of Elk River for the purpose of establishing
the appropriate speed zones:
Jarvis Street NW from Highway 10 to 165tl~ Avenue NW
165th Avenue NW from Highway 10 to Jarvis Street NW
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River this 19th day
of August, 1996.
