A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIYER
A RESOLUTION APPRO¥1NG NOTICE OF SUMMARY PUBLICATION
OF ORDINANCE 03 - 13
AMENDING CHAPTER 30 OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER CITY CODE
WHEREAS,
on August 18, 2003 the Elk River City Council adopted Ordinance 03-13
amending Chapter 30 of the Elk River City Code titled, "Land
Development Regulations" to establish a Downtown District, and
WHEREAS, the amendment to the ordinance provides for new definitions; and
WHEREAS,
the Downtown Districts sets forth rules and regulations governing
development within the downtown area in the City of Elk River. It is the
purpose of these regulations to:
1. Establish permitted, accessory, and conditional uses within the
Downtown District.
2. Establish building and parking setbacks within the Downtown
District.
3. Establish building design standards and guidelines within the
Downtown District.

WHEREAS,
a copy of the full text of this ordinance amendment (Ordinance 03-13) is
available for inspection by any person at the office of the Elk River City
Clerk, 13065 Orono Parkway, during regular business hours - 8:00 a.m.
to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council, by at least four-fifths
vote, authorizes the publication of the tide and summary of Ordinance
03-13; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Ordinance 03-13 shall become effective upon
publication of Resolution 03-5 7
Passed and adopted by the Elk River City Council this 15th day of September, 2003.
