March 29 -Annual Lions' Pancake Dinner and Fundraiser for C.A.E.R at the Senior Center
Every March the Elk River Lions co-sponsor a Pancake Dinner with the Senior Center at
350 Evans. This year we collected $500.00 and 338 lbs. of groceries. There were 110 in
attendance.
The Activity Center C.A.E.R Fundraiser is at $730 to date.
Tax Help -The AARP Tax Help program will be ending at the Act Center of 4.13.12.
Volunteer Opportunity Expo at the Activity Center is Thursday, April 19`h from 3-6pm
Tllis is a community event that features agencies in the area that use volunteers. Everyone
has the opportlu~ity to learn about volunteer needs in the area and enjoy refreshments. This
event also includes a raffle drawing and silent auction baskets.
March 21 - Pinewood Parry at the Activity Center to kick off the new Golf Season. 35
people attended. Pinewood brought door prizes and the Act. Center provided hot dogs.
Everyone enjoyed the event.

The summer program guide has been completed and distributed to the Elk River
Community. Program guides are mailed to residents that have registered for programs in the
past as well as distributed to locations throughout the community such as the Library,
Activity Center, YMCA, City Hall, and the Rivets Edge Commons Park Kiosk Staff is
excited about the upcoming summer season and the recreational offerings to the Elk River
Community.
