SUBJECT: Major Park Use -Orono Park Hinotes Heroes Charity Event
Re uest
Melissa C11ristensen with the Hinotes Heroes Foundation has requested the use of Orono
Park to host a charity fundraising event. The event is to be held on Saturday July, 28`'' from
10:30 a.m - 7:30 p.m. Approximately 100 people are expected to attend the event. The
group would like to set up tents to host a pig roast and games for participants.
Information for your consideration
• Proceeds from event will be donated to charities
• The event will serve Elk River Residents
Staff Recommendations
Event be approved with the following guidelines:
Rental fees be waived
The group coordinate with the Parks Department on tent location to assure safety
measures are being taken
The group will cover the cost of any additional fees such as extra trash cans or
portable toilets
