SUBJECT: Meeting Reminder & Staff Updates -April 18, 2012
This is to remind you of our upcoming meeting on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. in the Uppertown
Conference Room at the Elk River CitS~ Hall. The agenda, March minutes, sample demonstration hand-out and
Marketing Plan axe attached.
STAFF UPDATES
PROJECT CONSERVE PHASE III
The third meetings axe scheduled fox April 14, 17, and 19, 2012 and will cover water and recycling. Angela Hauge,
Elk River Municipal Utilities and Bill Bxonder, Sherburne County Soil & Water Conservation District will be
speaking about water conservation. Newsletters have been going out to past and present participants.
BUSINESS & ENERGY EXPO
The Business and Energy Expo was held on Sunday, March 25 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. It appeared that the number
of attendees was done this year as compared to others. Staff has meetings scheduled with the subcommittee and
with the Chamber and will give more updates at the meeting
SWOT ANALYSIS
Since we ran out of time at the March meeting, I attached the Marketing Plan again fox Energy City. I will plan on
giving the standard Energy City presentation during the meeting. Also, it was discussed that the ECC develop an
Energy Related Company Directory. Please bring any ideas of who should be included in the directory to the
meeting.
