Mechanical Inspection Class
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Mayor and City Council for
the opportunity I had to attend the Mechanical Inspection Class offered at
the University of Wisconsin. I felt that the class was very beneficial because
of the broad range of out of state inspectors. Our instructor, Raymond
Sebastian, has 15 years of experience in mechanical contracting and
construction, followed by 16 years of building code administration. He
encouraged interacting among the inspectors. I felt that the open discussions
among the inspectors was very beneficial. Also, with a mixture of young and
old inspectors we were able to share many past experiences with each other.
The one week time frame for this class was good. We had ample time to go
over areas, which in previous classes in Minnesota we did not have adequate
time in a one or two day seminar. The time frame allowed us to go over
situations, research them, and solve the problems.
Again, I would like to thank the Mayor and City Council for this opportunity
and I hope in the future we can continue going to these classes which enable
us to do our job and serve the community better.
