Consider a donation request from the Elk River Independence Day Committee
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
Jim Boyle, along with representatives of the Committee, will provide the EDA with a verbal presentation
of plans for the 2012 Elk River Independence Day celebration.
In previous years, the EDA Budget included up to $6,000 for the July 4`h Celebration. In 2010, the EDA
authorized a budgeted expenditure for the newly-formed Independence Day Celebration. The EDA
approved the $6,000 donation request in 2011 and included $6,000 in the 2012 budget for the July 4`h
celebration event.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The $6,000 request would come out of the Miscellaneous Expense line item of the budget.
