ITEM DESCRIPTION REVIEWED By Resolution Establishing Municipal State Aid Highway Cal Portner, Ci Administrator REVIEWED BY ACTION REQUESTED Adopt resolution designating Proctor Street from County Road 1 to CSAH 33 as a Municipal State Aid Highway. BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION Adoption of this resolution is the final step to completing the turnback process for the former County Road 1 /Proctor Street. In taking the turnback from Sherburne County, the city is allowed to designate this road as a Municipal State Aid (MSA) route and collect money through our State Aid allocation towards the segments future reconstruction. The State Aid office requires the City Council to adopt the attached resolution to comply with the process detailed in the State Statutes. Staff is recommending the approval of the attached resolution. If the resolution is not adopted, the route cannot be added to the State Aid system and the city would miss out on State Aid funding that would be allocated towards this segment.
