Action Requested
Renew the On-sale and Sunday liquor license to Espresso and Smoothies LLC. DBA El Amigos, effective
July 3, 2012, through June 30, 2012.
Background/Discussion
The Council considered annual liquor license renewals at the last Council meeting in June. El Amigos was
not included on that list because El Amigos had not submitted a renewal application. Staff received a
completed renewal application on June 25.
El Amigos on-sale and Sunday liquor licenses expired as of midnight on June 30, 2012. Pending approval
of the renewal, El Amigos can begin selling liquor on Tuesday, July 3.

Dear Mx. Jain:
On March 5, 2012 the city sent the renewal application for your On-Sale and Sunday Liquor licenses
because your current licenses expire at midnight on June 30, 2012. The renewal application was due
May 15, 2012.
After the application due date, city staff contacted you via phone and a certified letter to remind you
of the need to submit your renewal application. No application has been received.
Your current liquor licenses expire at midnight on Saturday, June 30, 2012. You shall stop the sales
and service of any alcohol at your establishment as of midnight on Saturday, June 30, 2012.
