ACTION REQUESTED
Council motion appro~ring a special event permit to the ~~IC ~ for a ~h t1m/walk scheduled for
Sat<irday, July 2I, 20I2, with the following conditions:
1. applicant shall be responsible for garbage clean-up immediately following the e~rent.
2. No paint allowed an~~vhere on trails. Chalk or cones mar be used.
3. Walkers/nznners are to utilize sidewalks, trail systems, or road shoulders throughout the entire
route. No road closures will be permitted. It is each runner's responsibility to ensure the
streets/intersections are safe prior to crossing.
-1. The ~~IC ~ shall designate race marshals to monitor the race route and participants and contact
Police Captain Ron Nierenhausen to arrange for police reserves.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
The ~~IC ~ is requesting to host a ~h non/walk on Satlirda~, July 21, 2012. Below is a synopsis of the
request:
^ The event begins at 7:30 a.m. and ends at 10 a.m.
^ The e~-ent is open to the public. The ~~IC ~ is e_zpecting approximately 200 participants.
^ The ~k is being held in conjunction with the Sherburne Count- Fair.

Stage along the path next to Lake Orono indicated on map with an S travel
path to Orono park way take a lett onto Joplin. At 4eway stop/intersection of
Joplin and County Rd 30/Mississippi cross over Joplin will need a Reserve
oPl=ice indicated by R on the map travel the path along Cty Rd 300/Mississippi
(except for .4 09" a mile where we will have marshals and we will utilize the
shoulder or grass) Take a right onto Waco and travel to Business Center
drive stay on side walk to end of SK at Orluck Parking lot.
