Position opening
ITEM 4.2.
The police department has a position for patrol officer open due to the
resignation of Officer Zarrett, who left Elk River for employment with the City of
Golden Valley. Zarrett's last day was May 11th.
Background checks have been completed on the top two candidates on our
current list. The results of those checks has brought one of the two candidates to
the top of the eligibility roster.
We would like to give this candidate, Brian John Boos, age 25, a conditional offer
of employment contingent on successfully passing the department physical and
psychological exams.
Mr. Boos resides in Elk River and is currently employed by Sim's Security as a
security officer. He is also a volunteer with the Sherburne County Sheriff's
Reserve Unit. He graduated from St. Cloud State with a B.A. degree in Criminal
Justice and completed the skills training at Alexandria Technical College.
We would anticipate once the final testing is done that Boos would be able to
start employment within two weeks.
