MANKATO RIVER RAMBLE On the return trip,participants will peda overthe lightlytraveled roads of the designated route endearing them to the Mississippi ' r Trail.Their mo will likely be propelled by the prevailing orthwest tail winds as theyarri -in Elk Riverf.ra prearranged lunch at various venues before continuing to pedal along the river back to the start. The fvississippi River Trail,designated as Minnesota's first state bikeway,provides opportunities tailored for bicyclists of all types and ages to follow America's great river.When traveling the Mississippi River at the pace and intimacy of a bicycle, you'll see what manytourists never will.You will be immersed in the river's way of life-and share with your familyand friends a route filled with history,enchantment,and remarkable adventure! Pre-registered participants will meet at the rvinneapolis Parks&Recreation Headquarters parking lot(2117 West River Road)at 10:30 a.m.We will hop on the Northstar Commuter Rail Line with our bikes and arrive in Big Lake at 12:19.The bike trip back is is a go-at-your-own-pace ride,not a race.Maps and route assistance will be provided.
