SUBJECT: Request to Operate Golf Cart
Item 3.2.
Mr. Leslie Anderson has submitted a request to allow the use of a
handicapped designated golf cart on the city streets and walkways
in his immediate neighborhood. Mr. Anderson lives at 13427 180th
Avenue. The golf cart is being requested for medical reasons as
indicated in the letter submitted by Mr. Anderson.
ACTION REQUESTED
Authorization by the council to allow the use of an electric golf cart
on city streets for Leslie Anderson.

Dear Council Members:
My name is Leslie O. Anderson of 13427 180th ave. N.W.
been a resident of Elk River since 1969.
I have
I am requesting permission to operate a handicapped designated
golf cart on the streets and parkwalkways in my immediate neighbor
hood.
For the past three years it has become necessary to use~a cane to
assist me in walking. The problem is the result of the deteriation
of my leg due to polio contacted years ago. I can no longer walk
for long distances.
I have ~a,~state authorized handicapped car licenses on my vehicles
Minnesota ~285443 and a Slow Moving vehicle sign which I have
installed on my golf cart. Incidently, I do not golf, the cart
was purchased to get aroun~ my former home and ack, rage on Meadowvale
Road.
