Adopt the attached resolution to add a right -turn lane at the intersection of TH 169 and Jackson Avenue
as part of the current MnDOT mill and overlay project.
BACKGROUND /DISCUSSION
This item and agreement was approved at the July 16, 2012, City Council meeting. The state requires a
formal resolution be passed to accompany the agreement. Staff is recommending its adoption.

No further financial impacts are associated with this request.

RESOLUTION 12-
A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION ENTERING INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF
MINNESOTA, DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Elk River enter into MnDOT Agreement No. 01694 with
the State of Minnesota, Department of Transportation for the following
purposes:
To provide for payment by the city to the state of the city's share of
the costs of the Jackson Avenue Right Turn Lane construction and
other associated construction to be performed west of Trunk
Highway No. 169 on Jackson Avenue within the corporate city limits
under State Project No. 7106 -82 (T.H. 169 =018).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the mayor and the city engineer are authorized to execute
the Agreement and any amendments to the Agreement.
