I. CALL MEETING TO ORDER
The May 16, 2012, meeting was called to order at 6:31 p.m. by Captain Nierenhausen.
2. CONSIDER AGENDA
No changes to the agenda were made.
3. APPROVE MINUTES FROM MAY 2, 2012
Moved by Councilmember Gumphrey and seconded by Chief Streich to approve the
minutes from May 2, 2012.
4. DISCUSSION TOPICS
4.1. Meeting with the Elk River Fire Department
A meeting with staff from the Elk River Fire Depaitalent was held. The Task Force
updated the fire department with its progress so far, highlighting that much of the work
to-date has been discovery. A number of firefighters spoke at the meeting bringing
forward comments and concerns.
Staff was directed to re-evaluate the current Duty Officer program/policy as it was an
operational/administrative matter. City Administrator Portner and Chief Cunningham
will review the existing policy and schedule a future meeting with the officers.
5. DISCUSS FUTURE AGENDA
Next meeting will be held on June 6,2012.

There were no announcements.

The May 16, 2012 meeting of the Fire Service Task Force adjourned at 9:05 p.m.
