MEMORANDUM River Fire Department TO: Fire Service Task Force FROM: T.John Cunningham, Fire Chief DATE: August IS, 2012 SUBJECT: Firefighter Representation One of the items that was brought up during the May 16, 2012, joint meeting with the fire department was that of communication, specifically that between the Task Force and the entire department. When the Task Force was created,it was done so with great attention to making sure that the department, as a whole,is represented. This was done,in part,by years of service,with Task Force representatives being selected based on their time as an Elk River firefighter. Attention was also given to making sure there was a ranking officer, an EMT and a member of the Technical Rescue Team on the Task Force. Attached is a"Years of Service" summary which includes details on how the fire department, through the members on the Task Force,is represented. I have also identified the officers,EMT's and Technical Rescue Team members. This information may help our Task Force members, as representatives of the department, reach out to the larger group to share information and to collaborate.
