SUBJECT: Consider Library Rules and
Regulations
At a number of recent Library Board meetings, the board and Librarian Mick
Stoffers have discussed appropriate rules of behavior at the library. The
board and Mick request that the City Council consider and approve the
attached seven generalized rules of behavior for activities at the library.
Reauested Action
Motion approving the attached Rules of Behavior for the Elk River Public
Library.

Elk River Public Library
Rules of Behavior
1. Unruly behavior disruptive to
library users is not allowed.
2. Abusive or obscene language is
not allowed in the library.
3. Smoking is not permitted in the
library.
4. Food and drink are permitted only
in library meeting rooms.
5. Alcoholic beverages are 'not
permitted in the library.
6. Intoxicated persons are not
permitted in the library.
7. Pets are not permitted in the
library.
