SUBJECT: Taylor Hecker Eagle Scout Project
Eagle Scout Taylor Hecker will be in attendance to introduce his potential Eagle Scout
project and will be looking for direction from the Parks and Recreation Commission to
include in his project write-up.
He is interested in designing and building a gateway/monument sign at the entrance to the
Great Northern Trail.
Mr. Hecker has met with staff and two commissioners to brain storm ideas and sign
locations.
The Great Northern Trail is expected to be a regional trail system with end points in Elk
River and Princeton (or beyond). The significance of the gateway/sign is that it could
possibly determine the design palette for the entire trial systems signage.
