SUBJECT: Park and Recreation Commission Update
At its October 8, 2003 meeting the Elk Park and Recreation Commission conducted its
annual park tour. The Commission inspected the Youth Athletic Complex concession
stand, the Trove Brook barn, and visited the Well No. 8 construction site at Royal Valley
Park.
The Well No. 8 construction at Royal Valley Park has since been the topic of several
subsequent meetings. Staff and the Commission have worked with Bryan Adams, Utilities
Manager, regarding placement of the well, including the need for its relocation within the
park. The Commission has directed staff regarding remediation of the damage to the park
and will continue to work with staff on the future construction and restoration details.
There were no other items on the agenda of interest to report to the City Council.
