SUBJECT: Meeting Reminder—September 20, 2012
This is to remind you of our upcoming meeting on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at the Elk
River City Hall in the Uppertown Conference Room. Please see the attached agenda and minutes.
STAFF UPDATES
I. DOWTOWN TASK FORCE UPDATE
Jeremy Barnhart, Planning Manager will be presenting the Downtown Plan to the HPC.
2. ELK RIVER WATER TOWER UPDATE
Staff will present the quote from TMI Coatings on the water tower restoration. HPC will need to
review and discuss the quote and determine how to fundraise and find grant opportunities to help with
the restoration.
3. HPC REVIEW OF DOWNTOWN BUILDING PERMITS
Staff will present a map of the downtown lots that will need HPC review to receive building permits.
HPC will need to review and approve of the lots selected.
4. PLANNING COMMISSION ITEMS
No items on the Planning Commission agenda for discussion.
5. BAILEY POINT & HOULTON PROPERTY UPDATE
Staff will give updates during the meeting.
6. SCSU PROJECT UPDATE
Classes began on August 27'" on the SCSU campus. Staff will give an update on the projects students
are working on for Elk River.
7. PRESERVE MN —THE 32ND ANNUAL STATEWIDE HISTORIC PRESERVATION
CONFERENCE
Staff and HPC Commissioner Mortensen will give an update on the conference.
