Our Division has fully transitioned into our fall program offerings. One of our final
programs from the summer season, the Farmers Market, will conclude to October 4th. Once
complete staff will review the Farmers Market to determine how well the new location in
downtown Elk River worked.

SUBJECT: Activity Center Report
September ReCap:
• September was National Senior Center Month. Many additional programs were
planned and well attended such as Know Your Numbers and Healthy Eating
Presentation.
• • The most successful event that was planned for Senior Center Month was the
Wellness Expo and Soup Lunch. Over 225 people attended this event. Seniors had
the chance to visit 18 vendor booths, sample products,get their blood pressure
checked and obtain information.
• A special Senior Center Month Celebration was held over at 350 Evans Avenue.
Musical Entertainment was provided by Joanne Bolles and was enjoyed by about 60
seniors.
• September trips included Danbury Casino, Old Log Theater and Amtrak to Treasure
Island.
